WWE 2K19 Ratings: 10 Superstar Ratings That Make No Sense

4. Sting

WWE 2K19 Sting
2K Games

Rating: 89

Why It Makes No Sense: Sting is one of wrestling’s most iconic heroes, remembered for historic battles against Ric Flair, boldly taking on the New World Order, or debuting as “The Vigilante” to assist Dolph Ziggler in taking down The Authority.

This is also why he’s had so many damn character models in the last few WWE games. I mean, he had FIVE models in WWE 2K18. FIVE. This year they’ve managed to whittle it down to four, which is an improvement… I guess. Although many fans were dissatisfied with the sheer number of Stings last year, they seemed to ignore how strange his ratings were. The modern version of Sting in WWE 2K19 is based off his 2014-15 stint, where he did nothing memorable and lost as many matches as he won. His rating was an 89, the same as all time greats like Eddie Guerrero, John Cena and Edge.

Not to say that Sting isn’t an all time great, but this run did nothing but tarnish his legacy. The fact of the matter is that Sting did absolutely nothing in 2015 to earn a rating this high. I mean, he won one singles match, against The Big Show, on RAW. That was his only win.

A rating in the early to mid-eighties (around 84) would definitely represent this phase of his career far better.
