WWE 2K19 Ratings: 10 Superstar Ratings That Make No Sense

5. Kurt Angle ’01

Triple H 2k19 Rating
2K Games

Rating: 86

Why It Makes No Sense: Wrestling fans are some of the most divisive of any sport. They’ll find any reason to boo the most talented and hardworking superstars while cheering the most undeserving ones. But one thing all WWE fans can agree on is that Kurt Angle had the best debut year in the history of the company.

To win the European Championship, Intercontinental Championship, King Of The Ring and WWF Championship in the year following your debut is a feat that has not been achieved by anyone else since. Combine that with Angle’s superior athletic ability and tenacity, and you had a bona fide star. Angle lived up to his praise, even earning the #1 spot in the 2001 PWI 500. And for all these accomplishments, he has been given an 86 (On par with brilliant technicians like Lex Luger and Sycho Sid).

A rating far superior to his 2006 incarnation (which is inexplicably 3 points higher) would be more than fitting. Kurt Angle ’01 is one of the few characters in the game that deserves a rating in the nineties.
