WWE 2K21: 10 Most Wanted New Features

4. Commentary That Actually Works

2K are gonna' have to either fix commentary that's more broken than Matt Hardy's old TNA gimmick or remove it entirely.

There's no immersion in 2K20 when Michael Cole is spewing dialogue so stilted it could've come from a 2015 Roman Reigns promo, and things are made worse when Corey Graves gets the match type wrong. Playing a Hell In A Cell bout but being told you need to reach for that Money In The Bank briefcase is unacceptably shoddy.

Lists like these are a broken record when it comes to commentary in WWE video games. It's been pap for decades now, and 2K's attempts to fix it have been way wide of the mark. When WCW Mayhem on PS1 has better comms than WWE 2K20 on PS4/Xbox One, you know something has gone seriously wrong.

Side note: 2K should dip into the WWE archives and rip commentary from the Network when looking back at retro stuff in Showcases. Hearing Cole, Graves and Byron Saxton announce matches like John Cena and Daniel Bryan's Velocity effort from 2003 felt off in 2K19.
