WWE 2K21: 10 Most Wanted New Features

3. A 'God' Mode

Even the most casual of casual wrestling fan knows that this stuff ain't exactly a shoot. Wrestling isn't "fake" (try bumping a handful of times at a training school near you to find that out), but it is pre-determined, and there's way more that goes into the industry than battles between the ropes.

Why 2K has never implemented some sort of 'God' mode structure is anyone's guess.

Players should have total autonomy over who wins and who loses simmed matches in Universe mode, for example. Further, they should be able to decide how matches end, and there should be attached booking options that work in accordance with your drawn-up promotional plans.

Let's stop pretending wrestling games are basically fighting games.

They can be so much more than that. Ideas from old text-based booking simulators like EWR could be plundered and moulded into a meatier experience in 2K21. One way for 2K and VC to win back some fan sentiment is by pulling at their heart strings and giving them more control over a living, breathing WWE world.
