WWE 2K22: 10 Wrestlers Who Could Make Their Franchise Debut
7. Raquel Gonzalez
Like with Karrion Kross, Raquel Gonzalez is the reigning NXT Women's Champion at the time of writing. Again like Kross, she lifted the title from Io Shirai over WrestleMania 37 week. She's a shoo-in for this year's roster.
With regards to WWE's gaming history, the NXT women's division has been featured in some capacity since WWE 2K17, which featured the likes of Asuka, Nia Jax, Emma, and others. WWE 2K20 featured the highest amount, however, with Bianca Belair, Shayna Baszler, Io Shirai, and others all featured. WWE 2K22 needs to go an extra step, though.
You need only through the respective women's rosters of Raw, SmackDown, NXT, and NXT UK to see that the highest percentage of women belong to the black-and-gold brand. What's even more impressive is that a good chunk of these are actually well-established on the roster.
Raquel Gonzalez is no exception, despite only being a major player on the roster since February 2020. That she's already the Women's Champion is a good sign WWE are well behind her, and a roster spot in WWE 2K22 would only further confirm this. Dakota Kai is almost a certainty given she was in WWE 2K20; it simply wouldn't be right to have Raquel absent.
