Zelda 35th Anniversary: 9 Things Fans NEED To See

Zelda's lesser-known GameBoy Color titles were understandably overshadowed by the brilliant Link's Awakening, meaning that there are legions of fans out there who have not had the chance to experience the Oracle games.

They're on the Nintendo 3DS eShop, sure, but The Legend Of Zelda Oracle Of Seasons and Oracle Of Ages deserve the cutesy diorama remake treatment as much as Link's Awakening did. Moreover, packaging them together would allow for more seamless interaction between the two games than the GameBoy Color allowed, enabling players to experience these games how they were meant to be played.

Taking a page from the Pokemon playbook, each of the games stood on their own but having access to both would give players new and useful items they could use in the games. Moreover, only once a player completes both titles (and links them up, cumbersomely, with the GameBoy Color's link cables) can they see the Oracle games' true ending. All of this faff can be avoided by bundling them in the same package.

Moreover, given that the Oracle games reused many of the assets that were developed for the original Link's Awakening, it's hard to imagine that porting the Oracle titles with that game's Switch-version visuals would take too much work.

Twenty years after they were first released, it's about time fans get another opportunity to revisit Labrynna and Holodrum/Subrosia.
