Zelda: Breath Of The Wild 2 - Every Confirmed & Rumoured Detail

Another trailer detail that gained a lot of attention was Zelda’s short hair. This could be little more than her having a trim between games but it’s led to speculation that Zelda may become a playable character in BOTW 2.

This is based off a more technical aspect of game development, as longer hair is harder to animate within gameplay, so a shorter style makes it easier to adapt the world around her.

To back this up, Zelda and Link were exploring together in this trailer and that’s highly unconventional by series standards, as Link usually travels alone. Aonuma’s kept quiet on this matter, refusing to speculate when questioned but one rumour points to Link being playable in the open-world and BOTW 2 letting you switch between him and Zelda in dungeons.

It’s a leak from 4chan, so it comes with a large grain of salt but legitimate Nintendo leaks have previously emerged from the infamous website such as Pokemon Sword and Shield information and the Wonderful 101 port, so it cannot be fully discounted either.
