Zelda: Link's Awakening Review: 6 Ups & 4 Downs

1. Chess Piece Puzzles No Longer Random

Read the title, and rejoice, OGs.

The horse-heads, or 'knight' chess pieces featured in several Link's Awakening dungeons used to be an infuriating feature that you simply had to try throwing them around the room over and over again until they landed upright and the puzzle randomly completed.

Now instead of just throwing the horses around and hoping for the best, there will always be a spot on the floor where they need to be thrown, and a random trajectory that the horse will always follow when thrown. If it randomly slides off to the right, you can adjust your positioning, throw it again, and predict where it will land.

This won't mean much to first-time players, but those of us who remember the old chesspiece puzzles will celebrate enough for all of us.
