In a Violent Nature was one of the most memorable horror films of last year - a veritable Sundance hit which was also a box office smash relative to its budget despite also being extremely polarising with general audiences.
A sequel to the artsy slasher was first announced in July 2024, shortly after the film hit streaming, though honestly would it have surprised anyone if In A Violent Nature 2 lingered in development hell forever more?
It's a tough concept to sequelise, but back in July the sequel gained some serious traction when it was announced that shooting would begin in Canada this September.
We know that original filmmaker Chris Nash will return to write and direct, and the film will once again follow serial killer Johnny, but everything else is firmly up in the air.
All the same, it's just nice to know that production is chugging along and we'll likely get to see the end product sometime in 2026.
