A Quiet Place Part II was released back in 2021, and though it was initially assumed that writer-director John Krasinski would swiftly get to work on the trilogy-concluding chapter, that isn't quite what happened.

While Krasinski pivoted to direct the family film IF, prequel A Quiet Place: Day One was written and directed by Michael Sarnoski, effectively filling the gap before Krasinski returned for A Quiet Place Part III.

Fans were certainly growing impatient by the start of 2025, though, especially as the film was removed from Paramount's calendar the previous year.

As speculation swirled about the threequel's status, the studio finally put fans out of their misery in July, by confirming that the third film was officially a go and set to release on July 9, 2027.

Krasinski will return to write and direct, while Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe, and Cillian Murphy are expected to return in lead roles.

If it follows the production pattern of the previous films, expect shooting to take place in the middle of 2026.
