10 Horror Victims That Did Everything Right But Died Anyway

It goes without saying that many victims from the Final Destination saga deserved to be mentioned on this list. In nearly every entry, the ensemble do everything in their power to bypass Death's design for them, only to end up splattered on the pavement, shredded by an escalator, or cooked in a sunbed.

And Bloodlines' almost Final Girl, Stefani, is no exception. Stefani discovers her grandmother cheated Death decades ago, meaning none of her descendants should exist. When multiple family members meet with sticky ends, Stefani realises they're living on borrowed time. While Stef's family are dubious of her theory, she bends over backwards to protect them (but fails).

Upon her investigation, Stefani discovers Death will leave her be if she's resuscitated after her heart stops. Though the Grim Reaper throws everything at Stefani, she keeps evading Death by the skin of her teeth. When her brother, Charlie, revives her after she drowns, it looks like the nightmare is over.

But when has Final Destination ever had a happy ending? In the last moments, Stefani discovers her body didn't go into cardiac arrest when she supposedly drowned, meaning she was never truly dead. 

Almost on cue, a timber-carrying train derails and slides towards Stefani and Charlie. The siblings seemingly cheat Death again, since the train stops inches before striking them. Suddenly, two logs fall from the train, pulverising the pair to paste.
