While The Strangers may have taken its time to truly get to the carnage and brutality of that 2008 picture, The Strangers: Prey at Night wastes absolutely no time amassing its first victims.

As that sequel opens up in a remote trailer park, elderly couple Sheryl and Marv are awakened by the sound of knock-knock-knocking on their trailer door. When Sheryl goes to answer, she sees that Dollface is already inside, with the masked killer swiftly butchering the poor woman off-screen, before then menacingly stroking the couple's dog.

With Marv having remained in bed throughout all of this, he presumes the figure who's made its way back into bed is his wife. Unfortunately, that figure is of course Dollface - and with that, we get the eerie shot of Dollface cosied up in bed behind Marv, as he starts to realise that something isn't quite right.

From there, our attention switches to Mike, Cindy and their two teenage kids as they head out for a short vacation at this trailer park, with it revealed that Sheryl and Marv are family members being visited by these four.
