10 Most Anticipated Horror Movies For The Rest Of 2025

8. Him

Him
Universal

Try though Universal might to convince audiences that Him is a new horror movie from Jordan Peele, he neither wrote nor directed it - he's onboard as a producer, while Justin Tipping (Kicks) serves as writer-director.

All the same, this sports-themed horror romp looks like a gonzo blast, following young footballer Cam Cade (Tyriq Withers) who is invited to train at the remote compound of a legendary, aged quarterback, Isaiah White (Marlon Wayans), whose intentions are far from what they first seem.

From what the trailers have shown off so far, this looks like a mesmerising cross between Get Out and Whiplash, delving into the world of elite-tier sports to examine the cost of success. While that's hardly a particularly fresh theme, the stunning visuals and overall intensity of the marketing suggest Him is going to be quite unlike other similarly themed genre offerings.

And of course, it'll be great to see Marlon Wayans starring in a meaty dramatic project once again.

Him releases on September 19.
