10 Recent Horror Movie Cameos Nobody Saw Coming

Given that Heretic was marketed as a totally confined horror-thriller in which two young Mormon missionaries (Sophie Thatcher and Chloe East) attempt to escape the clutches of the deranged Mr. Reed (Hugh Grant), few were likely expecting many - or any - other famous faces to show up.

But Topher Grace appears for a brief mid-film sequence as Elder Kennedy, a superior at the girls' church who visits Reed's house and inquires about them being missing in the area. Reed soon enough sends Kennedy on his way, and that's that.

Though audiences might assume that this is laying the groundwork for Kennedy to either be killed by Reed or return later in the story, neither ends up happening - he's more-or-less a red herring simply intended to illustrate that help isn't coming for the Sisters.

Due to Grace being kitted out in glasses, blonde hair, and a cosy winter hat, though, you could be forgiven for not even recognising him at all.
