6. Kid Cudi - Trap
We all saw M. Night Shyamalan's own inevitable, perfunctory cameo coming in his most recent film Trap, but who had Kid Cudi and his absolutely bonkers cameo on their bingo card?
The rapper-actor appears sporadically throughout the film as the Thinker, a blonde wig-wearing, ultra-flamboyant singer who performs with Lady Raven (Saleka Night Shyamalan). We see the Thinker periodically backstage, who at one point even makes a pass at our serial killer protagonist Cooper, aka the Butcher (Josh Hartnett).
It's a hilarious cameo and one of the silliest parts of an already deeply daft film, for better or worse, and yet Cudi's wig is so extra you couldn't be blamed for failing to notice him at all.
Shyamalan sure loves his quirky supporting characters, though rarely does he bring in a talent as well-known as Kid Cudi to play such an absurd, campy, wildly OTT role. And honestly, he's one of the best parts of a deeply polarising picture.
