20 Awesome Horror Movies With No Sequels
2. Let the Right One In
Let the Right One In is one of the greatest horror films of the last 20 years, if not ever, and leaps off at basically the perfect moment, as young Oskar (Kåre Hedebrant) and his vampiric love Eli (Lina Leandersson) depart on a train to parts unknown.
It's an ending that leaves the audience with a whole lot to think about, to consider quite what the future would look like for the duo, and so of course, many hoped that a sequel would one day be produced.
But the most that fans got was a sequel short story to John Ajvide Lindqvist's original novel, as part of a short story collection entitled "Let the Old Dreams Die."
This story picks up years later with Oskar and Eli in Barcelona, and while it offers a tantalising window into what happens next, it's ultimately just a tiny taste of the full-fat sequel many fans still desperately wanted to see.
