20 AWFUL Horror Movie Moments You Wish You Could Forget

18. Child's Play 3: Tyler's Endless Whining

Is this guy the most annoying horror movie kid ever? He actually might be.

In the first two Child's Play films, Chucky the Killer Doll (Brad Dourif) went after Andy (Alex Vincent), a young kid who got the possessed doll for his birthday. Kid characters are always tricky, so Andy was a breath of fresh air in that he was, first off, likable and secondly, excellently played by Vincent, a child actor wise beyond his years.

This third film takes place a few years later with Andy now a teenager in military school and played by Justin Whalin, but Chucky goes after a new kid: fellow cadet Ronald Tyler (Jeremy Sylvers). And this kid is so damn tiresome.

As well as being foolishly trusting of Chucky even for a young kid, his endlessly whiny demeanour is grating to the extreme. Furthermore, while one always feels reluctant to criticize a child actor - few children can act and emote in the same way an older, more emotionally-experienced person is able to - Sylvers' performance is profoundly irritating. Thankfully, Tyler never returned in any of the sequels.
