20 Horror Movies That Fall Apart In The Final Act

2. Us

In stark contrast to the unrivalled genius of Get Out, Jordan Peele's sophomore feature is not intelligent in the slightest.

Us, which revolves around an army of clones attacking people across the United States, is an example of how plot holes can single-handedly ruin a film, no matter how good the rest of it is. After all, despite the undeniable brilliance of its visuals and performances, Us doesn't make the slightest bit of sense, and as a result, it's hard to take the movie seriously.

It eventually turns out that the people launching attacks across the US are clones that were initially created in a long-abandoned scientific experiment. Somehow, a clone has been created for seemingly every person in the United States (around 340 million people, for the record). Somehow, they've survived in a network of underground tunnels with no food source aside from an apparently infinite supply of rabbit meat. Somehow, they've organized this big revolution even though they don't seem to have any methods of communication down there.

The unanswered questions are too numerous to ignore, and Peele arguably chose the wrong explanation for its monster. A supernatural, less literal origin for the clones would definitely have been preferable.

Be warned, the number one entry contains huge spoilers for Scream 7.
