It goes without saying that anything which has Barbarian and Weapons director Zach Cregger attached to it is going to have a ton of people's attention.

And it was recently confirmed that Netflix has won the bidding war to adapt Torso - Brian Michael Bendis and Marc Andreyko's true crime graphic novel based on the grisly Cleveland Torso Murders.

The true story follows famed lawman Eliot Ness of The Untouchables fame in the post-Al Capone period of his career as he attempts to capture the elusive serial killer.

Cregger will be co-producing the film under his production company Subconscious, and while neither a writer nor director have yet been attached, this marks the culmination of 20 years of Hollywood attempting to adapt Bendis and Andreyko's six-issue comic.

Over the last two decades the likes of David Fincher, David Lowery, Paul Greengrass, and Corin Hardy have been attached to direct various attempts at the material, but between Netflix and Cregger, it looks like this time it might actually stick.
