20 Perfect Scenes In Otherwise Terrible Horror Movies

This entry might ruffle some feathers, but here's the thing: when people refer to Society as a body-horror classic, they're probably just thinking of the flesh-orgy climax. And yes, this entire sequence - where a group of shape-shifting elites keep merging into one mass of flesh and devouring working-class victims - is spectacularly good.

The nausea-inducing body-horror, the grotesque practical effects, and the unsubtle yet deliciously entertaining symbolism of the rich literally eating the poor, it all works splendidly. It's the kind of 0-100 insanity you'll never be able to forget, and despite how horrible the spectacle is, the amazing creativity on display gives it a curiously charming edge. 

This part is bloody great, but the rest of the movie is bloody terrible. The acting and script are abysmal, hardly anything happens, and the whole thing is both goofy and dull, which is never a nice combination. Really, it feels like those behind the film had a good idea for the ending, and the rest of it was just an afterthought. Perhaps it would've been better if the flesh orgy had been a standalone short film?
