10 2010s Musicians Destined To Be One-Hit Wonders

7. Passenger

Originally the moniker for his band, Mike Rosenberg continued to use Passenger as the name of his solo project. The 2012 single Let Her Go hit number 1 in 9 countries, and was a Top 5 single in the UK and US as well.

Follow-ups Holes, Heart's on Fire and Whispers flirted with the lower numbers of the UK and Australian singles charts, but Passenger has strictly become an artist that only sells albums since.

Rosenberg has taken 2019 off so don’t rule out a 2020’s comeback just yet, stranger things have happened. But the current charts certainly do not have an appetite for acoustic folk pop.

Passenger admitted in 2016 that Let Her Go is often mistaken from Let It Go from Disney’s Frozen, and often gets many requests for that song.

Make it official for a quick cash-in for a hit cover, perhaps?
