9. Miley Cyrus
Following the flop of 2017’s Younger Now, Miley Cyrus has been quick off the draw to stay on top. After a rockstar performance at Glastonbury featuring a surprise appearance from Billy Ray and Lil Nas X, Miley has released a string of successful singles.
Mother’s Daughter and Slide Away have received modest chart success, but fans are keen to discover if any deep cuts in the album are directed at Liam Hemsworth. SHE IS MILEY CYRUS had finished recording in May, but Miley went back to the studio following her divorce with the Aussie actor.
Miley began working on this album just before the release of Younger Now, and is expected to be an epic with 18 tracks. Cyrus was scheduled to headline the ill-fated Woodstock 50, so she has had a lot of free time on her hands this summer to finish the album. It is unknown if rights will allow her song On A Roll from Black Mirror on this new album.
Recently her power trio with Ariana Grande and Lana Del Rey has been released to soundtrack the upcoming Charlie’s Angels film. Keep an eye out for that on the tracklist, particularly as Cyrus has described her seventh album as “genreless”.
