10 Artists That Went Too Far For Classic Songs

In the world of glammified rock and roll outfits from the Sunset Strip, Guns N Roses really looked like they had crawled out of the gutters. Not willing to throw on the glam threads that Poison were rocking around the same time, these guys felt more like a street gang with guitars, having the same kind of no BS rock and roll attitude that you got from bands like the Rolling Stones and Aerosmith back in the day. They were still bad boys though, and there was definitely some backstabbing going on on the last track.

After most of the work had been done on Rocket Queen, some of the band members stayed behind during the mixing stage to see what else the track needed to come alive. As the mixing was going on, drummer Steven Adler was having a pretty tough time with his girlfriend, having a huge fight resulting in her storming out and coming into the studio to blow off steam. Since this song was called Rocket Queen though, Axl had an idea that goes well past any band etiquette.

Needing the sounds of a woman on the tape, what you hear during the solo section is Axl having sex with Adler's girlfriend in the studio, with microphones placed on the studio floor to capture everything that they were doing in there. For as awkward as it is to be doing this with your drummer's girlfriend as he plays the drums on the song, here's hoping they at least had the courtesy of cleaning up that studio floor at the end of the night.
