In 1988 The Beatles were honoured with their inauguration into the Hall of Fame. But in typical band style, there had been an ongoing feud between the remaining members of the well-known group, which prevented them from receiving the award as a whole.

George Harrison and Ringo Starr would attend the event, but Paul refused to attend after a Long and Winding Road of business-related disputes. The co-lead vocalist of the ever-popular group issued a statement where he said that he felt that it would be hypocritical of him to appear alongside his bandmates and pretend that all is swell while they continue to battle business-wise behind the curtains.

The group managed to move past their issues, and Macca eventually decided to attend the ceremony in 1999 while being honoured for his solo musical career. He had also appeared previously in 1994 to induct the late John Lennon and would return again in 2015 to induct Ringo Starr. In the end, the band really did Come Together and let bygones be bygones for the sake of magical musical history.
