10 AWFUL Albums By Legendary Bands

3. The Clash - Cut The Crap (1985)

It's tricky to pinpoint what the worst thing Joe Strummer did to The Clash, fire genius song writing partner Mick Jones or release Cut The Crap to the masses.

It is so hard to find words to describe just how awful this album is. It's also hard to imagine that the same band who wrote such political anthems like Guns Of Brixton and White Riot could write a song about getting a "big, big, big, big, big car" and "driving it up" someone's "boulevard".

The album opens with the song Dictator which sounds like there are 4 songs playing at once and they're all clambering over each other to state their claim as the worst one. On top of that, you have Joe Strummer's snarling vocals trying to find a beat to land on like a fly looking for the smelliest turd. It doesn't get any better after that.

Worst Song: Play To Win

Half the song is an argument between a Rasta and Joe Strummer. They talk about guns, one of them gets arrested and kisses the other's girlfriend. After that they decide to get smashed and go for a picnic.

Worst Lyric: Don't Talk Shop - Fingerpop

Just click the link. it's horrendous.
