10 AWFUL Albums By Legendary Bands

4. Led Zeppelin - In Through The Out Door (1979)

Released in 1979, In Through The Out Door was Led Zeppelin's eighth and final album. The band broke up in late 1980s following the death of legendary drummer - John Bonham.

Although In Through The Out Door is Led Zeppelin's shortest album ever made, listening to the 7 tracks feel like an uphill battle with no noticeable stand out songs. Now, the great thing about Led Zeppelin is that a 9 minute song doesn't seem long winded when you have the likes of John Bonham on drums and Jimmy Page shredding the guitar.

On this album the 11 minute long song Carouselambra opens with what sounds like a broken Pacman arcade machine.

It's tragic that both Page's riffs and Plant's powerful vocals are lost in an avalanche of synthesisers and overall musical chaos.

Worst Song: Hot Dog

Hearing Led Zeppelin try their hand at what can only be described as - wild west saloon rock is a long fall from Robert Plant's epic voice singing about Vikings making sweet sweet love.

Worst lyric: Robert Plant screaming Hot Dog in an American accent at the start of the song feels like a heavy betrayal.

Saving grace: John Bonham's diverse and iconic drumming throughout.
