10 Band Members Who ABSOLUTELY HATE Each Other

5. Pete Townshend/Roger Daltrey - The Who

As the '60s were underway, rock was progressing by leaps and bounds. With the Beatles and the Stones coming out with one phenomenal record after another, the Who rose to the challenge by creating some of the most experimental rock music of all time, culminating in triumphs like Who's Next and Tommy. Though the group is only limited to two members at this point, there's not really too much love between them.

When originally looking for a band, the sole reason behind Pete Townshend joining in with Roger Daltrey was the fact that he was tough and could ward off any naysayers that Townshend may have gotten. In fact, Townshend has gone on record at different times saying that Daltrey was not that good a singer at all, which explains why Townshend himself takes lead on a handful of Who classics.

That distaste is a two-way street though, with Daltrey off-handedly saying that Townshend originally looked like "a nose on a stick" when they first met. Even their musical inspirations were a bit mismatched, with Daltrey and Townshend loving and hating Elvis Presley respectively. These disagreements eventually came to a head when Daltrey's violent streak almost resulted in his dismissal from the group, after which he made amends with his bandmates. While there's no real brotherly love between these two, they do have the common understanding that they work better together than apart.
