10 Bands That Never Made The Same Album

4. My Chemical Romance

For many, all it takes is one look at My Chemical Romance to really nail their sound down. From the minute you see these guys dressed to the nines in goth and emo regalia, you almost automatically know you're going to be in for something angsty with traces of bands like the Cure and the Misfits. Though the band definitely have their more theatrical moments, it's even more interesting what they do once you go a little deeper.

Though the band's first outing I Brought You My Bullets...was typical edgy emo music, the band took a quantum leap on Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, which saw them taking influences from everyone from Queen to System of a Down. To ensure it wasn't a fluke, the band created the Black Parade, which not only became a massive success, but may in fact be one of the greatest rock albums of the '00s.

Instead of just coaxing off the goodwill of their predecessor, the band got more synthetic on Danger Days, as they took elements of the more electronic rock bands of the day and infusing it into their more operatic sound. My Chemical Romance may seem to be nothing but makeup-clad wannabes on the surface, but by the time they disbanded in the late 2010's, they had turned in one of modern rock's most eclectic discographies.
