10 Bands You Need To See At Download Festival 2017

5. Dead Label

Despite them playing rather early on the Dog Tooth Stage on Download's Saturday, Irish groove/thrash metal power trio Dead Label will be more than worth the hangover. No matter how exhausted you may be when you stumble through the muddied fields to catch this powerhouse of extreme metal, songs like "Salvation in Sacrifice" and "Throne of Bones" (both of which come from the band's 2016 Throne of Bones album) will blow all your qualms away with riffs more rapid and punishing than gunfire and a rhythm section heavier than several cannonballs.

Like Lost Society, Dead Label are unbridled and anarchic, thriving in the most unruly and moshpit-filled environments. For fans of primal rifflords like Machine Head, Pantera and Forbidden, Dead Label is your obvious morning pick for Saturday, 10th June.
