10 Bands You Need To See At Download Festival 2017

4. Brutai

Progressive, technical, impressive and melodic, London quintet Brutai is an act of many talents.

Hot off their debut album Born (2016) and a "Best New Band" nomination for this year's Golden God Awards (go and vote for them now!), Brutai is set to have what could be the best summer of their short career in 2017, with their Sunday Download set the delicious icing on the cake.

Like some of the other younger bands on this list, frontman Felix Lawrie and co. have been Download attendees numerous times, and the band's passion for the festival will doubtlessly make itself known as they lay down a blistering set demonstrating the melodic, proggy power of their, to date, sole LP (along with a couple cuts from their 2013 EP).

Add into the mix some upcoming UK dates with experimental virtuosos like SikTh, Caligula's Horse and VOLA and, with the rate that they're currently climbing the technical rock ladder, you'd be an absolute numbskull to miss Brutai at Download!

(Too far?)
