10 Best Bring Me The Horizon Songs

9. Avalanche – That’s The Spirit (2015)

That’s The Spirit didn’t have quite the punch Sempiternal did. However, Bring Me The Horizon’s fifth record certainly wasn’t short on hooks.

‘Avalanche’ – a song that addresses Sykes’ struggles with ADHD – is the standout track on That’s The Spirit. As with ‘Empire (Let Them Sing)’, it’s an anthemic track ideal for stadiums.

As great as the chorus is, the bridge is the apex of the song. The way it transitions from the second chorus is beautifully done, and the vocal melody is irresistibly catchy. What’s more, rather than ending with the third chorus, the bridge then returns and closes out the track in a superb style.

Even those who prefer the band’s heavier material can’t deny how catchy this tune is. The guitar work may be quite minimalist, but anyone who’s seen this song live knows the effect it can have on a crowd.
