10 Best Debut Rock Albums Of The 21st Century
6. Black Stone Cherry - Black Stone Cherry
As the sole representatives for southern rock in this list, Black Stone Cherry found themselves at the forefront of the genre's revival in the late 2000’s. Their incredible self-titled debut record from 2006 was the catalyst that took southern rock back to its Molly Hatchet, Blackfoot and Lynyrd Skynyrd led glory days.
Leading with their best foot forward during this entire record, Black Stone Cherry made their presence felt through great songs such as ‘Lonely Train’, ‘Maybe Someday’ and the dangerously underrated ‘Tired of the Rain’. The success of this album opened the door for future records including ‘Folklore and Superstition’ and ‘Between the Devil & the Deep Blue Sea’, with both of these possibly being contenders for the best southern rock album of the 21st century.
