10 Best Debut Rock Albums Of The 21st Century
5. Halestorm - Halestorm
After the banner of female rock had been held by the likes of Evanescence, Garbage and The Distillers in the early 2000’s, Halestorm came along at just the right time to assume the role at the end of the decade.
Halestorm announced their arrival with a bang in 2009 through their self-titled debut record. With the perfect blend of classic rock influence and cutting edge modernised tones, this album soared to international success. Songs like ‘Familiar Taste of Poison’ and ‘Bet U Wish U Had Me Back’ are arguably amongst the band’s best songs, as they led this stunning album with confidence.
Although this is a great album, Halestorm’s crowning musical achievement wouldn’t come until 2012’s ‘The Strange Case Of…’, when Halestorm outperformed perhaps even their own expectations.
