10 Best Diana Ross Tracks

7. Swept Away

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8w7CCq036o Diana sought out the hottest producers for her fourteenth studio album, Swept Away, after a variety of misfires in her subsequent albums from 1980's diana. Her wish was granted when Bernard Edwards, Lionel Richie and Daryl Hall all appeared to help. The result saw Diana reach #1 in the 1984 Dance Charts yet again with title track Swept Away. Incorporating an R&B dance flavour with Daryl Hall's more rock-focused sound - the end result is perhaps one of the decade's most vibrant tracks, which has unfortunately been mostly forgotten. The seven minute plus music could give the sex-appeal of Madonna's videos a run for their money - it features a sultry Diana reduced by a camp mustachioed Frenchman. If that isn't sexy then I don't know what is.
