10 Best Double Albums In Rock Music History

7. Guns ā€˜Nā€™ Roses - Use Your Illusion I

This one was a bit of a coin flip, as Guns N' Roses took the absolutely mental decision to put out two separate double albums at the same time.

That's like some sort of... triple album!

Both Use Your Illusion I and II were extremely popular, charting at numbers one and two in the US album charts. It was the second version that reached number one, which is confusing to say the least.

That album has some bangers on it for sure; Civil War; You Could Be Mine; and their version of Knockin' on Heaven's Door stand out.

However, in your wrtier's mind, it's part one that just about takes the cake.

First of all, you get two extra songs on Use Your Illusion I, meaning you end up with more bang for you buck. Secondly, some of those songs are GNR's rendition of Live and Let Die, Don't Cry, and a little ditty called November Rain.

Well, there's nothing little about it, but you get the picture.

Apologies to the music-buying public of 1991, but you made a mistake.

Now sit there and think about what you did!
