10 Best Flight Of The Conchords Songs

Ever since the end of HBO’s Flight of the Conchords TV series in 2009, fans have been hoping that the self-proclaimed “4th most popular folk parody duo in New Zealand” would one day return with a follow-up to their brilliant show. Thankfully for fans everywhere, that wait seems like it might soon be over!

Flight of the Conchords member Jemaine Clement all but confirmed in a recent interview that he and fellow Conchord, Bret McKenzie have started writing a movie together. Whilst the project seems to be in its early stages and it could be a while yet before it starts being filmed, it is nonetheless very exciting new for fans everywhere.

In the past the duo have demonstrated their ability to nail just about any genre of music from portraying rapping robots right through to hitting the high notes with their powerful ballads. The topics covered by their songs have also been wide ranging too, tackling big issues such as having "Hurt Feelings", to explaining the true meaning of the phrase "Business Time".

Having set the bar so high already it will be very interesting to see what the hilarious New Zealanders might come up with next for their upcoming movie.

Where better to start than the first song to be featured in an episode of the Flight of the Conchords TV show. The Most Beautiful Girl (In The Room) is a parody of the many songs in existence which focus on a particular girl being the most beautiful in the land/world/universe/etc…

In true Conchord’s style they take a much more realistic look at the female protagonist within their song, alluding to her as certainly being a beautiful woman in her own right, but at the same time acknowledging that there are other more beautiful women in existence.
