10 Best Hard Rock Bands Not In The Hall Of Fame
9. Blur
Been Eligible Since: 2015
Exploding onto the British music scene of the early 1990s, Blur became a dominant act within the Britpop movement of the decade. During their prime, the band released a string of acclaimed albums, such as 1993's Modern Life is Rubbish, 1994's Parklife, 1995's The Great Escape and 1997's self-titled Blur.
From these albums, classic hits such as "Girls & Boys", "Parklife", "Country House" and "Song 2" emerged that have become some of the most loved songs of the decade. Despite currently being on hiatus since their latest album, 2015's The Magic Whip, several surprise concerts show that the band are still capable of performing and releasing good music.
Granted, Blur have only been eligible for the Hall of Fame for five years now, but plenty of other bands have made the Hall of Fame the first year they were eligible. Given the impact that the band had throughout the 1990s, it wouldn't make sense to snub them for too long. As a result of the 25 year rule, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is only just starting to recognise influential artists from the early 1990s, and it shouldn't be too long before Blur is given the commendation they deserve.
