10 Best Hard Rock Music Videos Of The 2010s

4. Inhaler - Foals (2013)

This might have been a fairly simple concept for a video, but it served as a perfect metaphor for what a Foals show feels like.

Everything you see are things you're likely to witness at one of their gigs. They'll be some up-tempo dancing, plenty of flares, a degree of drug taking (and subsequent eye wobble), and maybe a bit of brief nudity. Oh, and vomiting... there's always someone vomiting.

The video showcases multiple depictions of youth culture, with kids skating about, a guy practising body popping and youths running around with fireworks.

As the song intensifies, the editing becomes more erratic. Images are flashed on screen showing groups of kids letting off flares, a BMX gangs riding in sync and dancers becoming ever more extreme in their movements. The climax comes with the visual bombardment of some guy vomiting, as the camera frame begins to shake with an unnerving intensity.

You can feel the fevered excitement of a Foals gig through this video. When you're done watching it you'll be Googling their next tour dates.
