10 Best Rock Music Albums Under Half An Hour Long

3. Green River - Creedence Clearwater Revival

Creedence Clearwater Revival were on a tear in 1969.

They released three albums that year, all of which reached the US top ten and went platinum multiple times over. How is that even possible?

Due to their massive (self-imposed) workload, these albums had to be short. Bayou Country from January was just over 33 minutes, November's Willy and the Poor Boys was 34-and-a-half, which leaves August's Green River as the one that limbos under the half-hour mark.

Only just though, clocking in at 29:25.

Green River was also the most successful of the trio, topping the US charts and giving the band one of their most memorable singles in Bad Moon Rising. That's actually the shortest song on the album at just 2:21. As for the longest, that's Wrote a Song for Everyone, which is almost a full five minutes!

1969 was a great year for music in general, but especially if you were a CCR fan. Green River and its two siblings are all exceptional works, proving that you don't need to go long to make an impression.
