10 Best Rock Music Videos Of The 2000s

8. Pork And Beans - Weezer

From Wheatus to Weezer now - hopefully we've got them the right way round.

In 2008, the Internet was taking its first tentative steps into the world of memes. YouTube had launched just three years earlier and people were only just discovering the wealth of strange content that could be found there.

Ad free, we might add. Those were the days.

Proving that they had their finger on the pulse when it came to all things nerdy, Weezer decided to go all out and bring in every YouTube sensation they could find for their video for the song Pork and Beans.

These online pioneers included Mark Allen Hicks (aka, the Afro Ninja), the Numa Numa guy, Tay "Chocolate Rain" Zonday, and singer-songwriter Cara Cunningham.

There's also references to Mentos and Coke, catching sunglasses on one's face, and the Soulja Boy dance.

Just imagine how much it would cost to make a YouTube-centric video today. KSI's fee alone would probably be double this video's budget.

Not only does Pork and Beans serve as a snapshot of Internet culture at the time, but it's also a fascinating trip down memory lane for anyone who was online during the rise of YouTube.
