10 Biggest Backstabbing Moments In Rock History

4. Guigsy - Oasis

Throughout most of their history, you couldn't really rely on Oasis as being the most accommodating band in the world. Along with their outrageous egos, the Gallagher Brothers have practically molded their entire public persona as being some of the most outspoken rock stars on planet Earth, just as likely to rail on each other as they are with rivals like Blur. When the fame gets to be too much though, things weren't going to go over that well.

While staying in the background for most of the Definitely Maybe period, bassist Guigsy started to get burnt out on the media circus while on tour for What's the Story Morning Glory. After initially wanting to leave the band altogether, Guigsy decided to take some time off from the band to cool out, citing his problems having to do with nervous exhaustion. Yeah...that kind of thing being served to the guys who wrote Live Forever was not going to go over well.

Quickly drafting in an interim bass player for their tour of America, Guigsy was served up with belittling the minute he returned, as they worked him out for being uncommitted to the band like the rest of them. As much as a band can seem like a band of brothers, this was the equivalent of everyone becoming the school bully towards someone who had fairly legitimate issues.
