10 Biggest Sell Out Albums In Hard Rock Music History

2. You're Welcome - A Day to Remember

The story behind A Day To Remember feels like one of the best underdog stories in the history of pop punk. In making a record like Common Courtesy, these guys finally shook the shackles of Victory Records off of them and came through with an album that was equal parts metalcore and equal parts pop punk and somehow making it fit together into a neat package. They seemed to be on the road to recovery…until Fueled By Ramen decided to put their paws into the situation.

As if their iffy collaboration with Marshmello wasn’t enough to get fans cautious, You’re Welcome really sent everything over the age, breaking out the acoustic guitars, hacky lyrics and tracks that felt like they had fifty songwriters in the room as they were writing it. There are definitely some great songs to be found in here like Brick Wall, but hearing something like FYM coming out of these guys just feels sad, as if they took all of the goodwill that they had from the last record and decided to flush it down the drain.

You can tell that they’re starting to turn over a new leaf as they get older, but that doesn’t make for the greatest of music when you actually break it down. Despite that album title’s intentions, there are more than a few fans that walked away from this album with a resounding “no thank you.”
