7. George Harrison
On 30th December 1999, George Harrison was attacked in his own home by Michael Abram. Abram managed to evade security and break into Harrison's home by scaling a wall and then throwing a statue through a window, waking both Harrison and his wife.
Abram chose Harrison as his target as he believed that the Beatles were 'witches who flew around on broomsticks.' He also believed that at one point Harrison had possessed him and that he was later instructed, by God to murder Harrison.
During the attempted assassination, Harrison attempted to tackle and disarm Abram. This attempt was unsuccessful and Harrison was stabbed multiple times in the chest. Luckily he managed to survive this, as his mother-in-law hit Abram with a lamp causing him to drop the knife.
Abram was ultimately found not guilty due to reason of insanity and detained in a secure unit.
