4. Tarzan Boy - Baltimora (1985)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_r0n9Dv6XnY Night to night Gimme the other, gimme the other Chance tonight Gimme the other, gimme the other Night to Night Gimme the other, Gimme the other world Baltimora were an Italian based act, but I don't know of any of their songs bar Tarzan Boy which is played on my local radio station at least once every hour. A world wide hit, Tarzan Boy reached #3 in the UK charts and stayed on the US Billboard charts for a shocking six months - peaking at number 13. Really annoying due to constant 'oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh' Tarzan refrain, the song seems to be about a man living in the jungle who is asking a woman to come and join him so she can be Jane and he can be Tarzan. Which is not a very attractive prospect, is it? Especially when he couches his pleas to her in such cheesy terms. "Monkey business on a sunny afternoon". No thank you Baltimora. Take your infuriatingly catchy cheese and shove it you know where.
