10 Craziest Onstage Incidents In Rock

4. Sid Wilson's Gnarly Moshing

Most stage crashers probably know what to expect if they ever dared to storm the stage at a Slipknot concert. Considering the whole thing looks like a war zone even when the main band is on the stage, you are to enter at your own risk lest you want to receive a firm clubbing from Clown. Hell, even when you do everything single thing right, it's still a little risky. Just ask Sid Wilson.

Ever the showman from behind the turntables, Wilson was ready to throw down when it came time to kick off the tour for All Hope is Gone in 2008. Going into the first handful of songs, Wilson tried to kick things up a notch by doing a massive leap into the center of the stage, which he immediately regretted the minute he hit the floor. While sticking the landing, Wilson had broken both of his heels in the process, resorting to quickly limping back behind his turntables for the rest of the night.

After some time in a pair of boots operating the turntables from behind the stage, it took a few months before Wilson was back to his snarling self. That's not to say he stopped the mayhem though, with him still climbing the rafters and leaping into the crowd in numerous shows afterwards. In a band as sinister as Slipknot, you don't just take stuff out of the set. You just build up the scars to prove it.
