10 Creepiest Paranormal Events In Rock Music
3. Bon Scott's Blessing
AC/DC were not going to let mortality stop them from making kick ass rock and roll. After lead singer Bon Scott was found dead from alcohol poisoning after the band's classic Highway to Hell, the Young brothers recruited an equally proficient singer in Brian Johnson, whose screams had the same energy to match Bon's. No one knows for sure if Bon would have approved, but Johnson has told about a few spiritual experiences with the former singer.
As Johnson started to lay down his vocals in The Bahamas, he was really uncomfortable walking into Bon's unfillable shoes. Going back to his hotel room to cool out for a bit, Johnson has said that he was greeted by a chill while drifting off that he believed to be the spirit of Bon talking to him from the other side of consciousness. Rather than be frightened for his life, Johnson said that he felt a strange comfort, as if the former singer was giving him the 'okay' to lead the band into their next incarnation.
Going back into the studio, Brian was re-energized, turning in the takes that would catapult the band's next record Back in Black into the upper echelons of rock god-ery. Not many people have these kind of paranormal experiences in their life, but if you absolutely have to have one, it's better to have a glorified pep talk rather than horrifying.
