10 Great Hip Hop Albums With Only One Bad Song

1. Something To Dance To - NWA

Now it's just starting to feel dirty to go after one of the most important records in hip hop history. At a time when the golden age of hip hop was slowly starting to die out, Straight Outta Compton by NWA was the moment where the entire rap game changed, with people riding the wave of G funk for the next decade going forward. Even though this is practically an all star lineup of emcees, it does lose its momentum at the end.

That's not to say that there's nothing to enjoy about a song like Something to Dance to. DJ Yella and Dre at least did a good job behind the board for this song, and Eazy E at least sounds like he's having fun on top of this beat. Considering the rest of the record that we just heard though, this is not what you'd want as the big sweeping closer of the album.

Really think about this record for a second. We have the title track opening the door with unbridled anger, taking a stance against law enforcement on F*** the Police, and you choose this random dance track as the closer. While songs like Express Yourself showed that NWA had a playful side, these guys could have definitely done a lot better than serving up this as their final hoorah.
