10 Greatest Power Metal Albums Of All Time

7. Epica - Kamelot

Kamelot are about as musically diverse as metal can get. Hailing from Florida, the band has created some of the best blends of melody, symphony, and conventional hard-hitting metal, we have ever seen.

2003’s Epica was Kamelot at their unorthodox best. With a ridiculous variety of instruments on show, the band pushes the definition of power metal with this theatrical masterpiece. Roy Khan takes listeners on a grand journey with his stunning vocals, Thomas Youngblood’s guitar work draws in listeners despite being so fast-paced, and the piano and violin parts provide the icing on the cake.

The album opens as hot as it possibly could with the classic Center of the Universe. To this day, it is considered to be Kamelot's best ever song, and for very good reason. Despite normally having a sad vibe to their songs, Epica gives fans a more bone-chilling, grand experience.

Center of the Universe, and Farewell are the absolute best songs on the album, and any power metal fan should have them on their playlists.
