10 Hard Rock Bands That Need To Be In The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame

Every now and again, a band comes along that doesn't even seem to be from the genre or planet. From the way they carry themselves onstage to the outlandish ways they record their records, nothing about these acts ever seem to fit into a neat box. When it comes to Deftones though, you can't dispute the pure genius you had on your hands here.

While it's easy to just throw them into the nu metal category, Deftones' music almost defies genre altogether. From touching on post grunge in their early years to making some of the most trippy metal music ever conceived across albums like Diamond Eyes, each record feels like a new experience every time you throw them on. Even though this practically checks every box for a critical darling, the amount of accolades thrown their way has been pretty miniscule.

Granted, Deftones are new to the legend scene of the Rock Hall, with only one year of eligibility under their belt. However, if there were any other band that deserved to get in on their first try, it would have to be these guys. Much like other visionaries like Radiohead, Deftones have carved out their own creative path without having to compromise any of their initial vision. If anything, the Hall should at least get them into their company while they're still making exceptional records.
