10 Hard Rock Musicians With The Most Endearing Hobbies

4. Comic Book Designer - Gerard Way

Every one of My Chemical Romance's albums always tied back to a loose concept at the end of the day. Although the Black Parade still gets praise to this day for being one of the greatest rock operas of the '00s, stuff like Danger Days and Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge still had narratives of their own that connected each song together. That's not a mistake either. This is the kind of thing Gerard Way was planning for a long time.

Before he had even decided to give music a shot, Gerard already had a passion for writing comic books, and one day hoped to be a designer for his own stories. Though he ended up falling into music instead, there are even some comics that link to the albums, following the rest of the story of the notorious Killjoys.

And it just keeps coming for Gerard making one great story after another. The Umbrella Academy on Netflix actually started as his comic book that was adapted to become its own series. And y'all remember Penny Parker from Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse? Yeah, that's him too. Considering the fact that MCR might be coming back in full force pretty soon, it's nice to know that Gerard never lost his touch when it came time to tell an epic story.
